Bsu email 365 upgrade#
This upgrade has been planned for some time and is not related to the recent password change effort nor the attempted intrusion into Ball State systems. BGSU provides an email address to all active students, faculty and staff. BSU students, faculty, and staff can download up to five copies of Office 365 for Business on their personal devices. Microsoft has upgraded the technology behind our login process, and we need to keep pace with current technology for compatibility and security. Eventually, all Ball State software applications requiring single sign-on will use the new process. As a result, those applications may still use the older login process for a short period of time. The change will be a gradual process, since some applications are hosted by the companies who develop them, and we must ask them to make the change. The first screen will ask for your username, the second screen for your password, and the third screen for your two-factor verification, when applicable.Īs early as Thursday, March 11, 2021, you will begin to see Ball State software applications use this new login process. The login process to Ball State software applications, such as Banner, Office 365, Canvas, myBSU, and others, will now be a three-step process. This upgrade will result in a slightly different login process for Ball State users accessing software applications that use single sign-on. As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain up-to-date and secure technology at Ball State, Information Technology will be upgrading the Ball State single sign-on (SSO) login process to Microsoft’s latest technologies.
